A Shook Up Nation
Hello, my name is Gina! I made the decision at the beginning of the year to travel to the country of Nepal, November 2015. The trip I plan to take is a two and a half week trip with the Global Ventures group.
Lying in the shadow of the Himalayas, Nepal is breathtakingly beautiful, but the country still remains one of the world’s poorest and least developed nations. For centuries Nepal was the only official Hindu kingdom in the world, but that changed in 2008 when the country was declared a Federal Democratic Republic, ushering in a new era of tolerance for other religions like Christianity. In spite of the progress made, some political leaders are attempting to offset this positive change. Other events such as the recent earthquakes have made the love of God shine brighter and needed more than ever. These people are hurting, desiring, needing more. They need to know that they are loved and that there is a God more powerful and bigger than the problems that they currently face!
Though, with this decision to go, I need your help! This trip comes with a cost, but I am believing that the Lord will provide me with the money needed. I have raised $650 so far out of the $3,850, totally possible! The thing is, I have a deadline to reach by next week, Wednesday the 12th of August.
